The Los Angeles Police Academy Magnet School Foundation

It’s our duty to afford the young people I see every day…who can’t even imagine where to turn for guidance—a better life and a safer community.

High School

Along with a continued focus on character building and academic rigor, LAPAMS’s high school magnet sites offer more practical experiences in law enforcement. Regular physical training and community service allow students to develop their bodies and desire to serve in preparation for future police work. Guest speakers also help cadets understand the demands of law enforcement. Students leave prepared to start their college careers and begin their journeys to possibly join the LAPD.

LAPAMS has magnet programs at seven LA-area high schools:

A Person Jumping Over a Blue Structure
A Group of People Pulling a Rope
A Person Wearing a Helmet and Vest
A Police Officer and a Student Stand Near an Injured Woman
